Even BME, ELTE or Semmelweis is within 10 mins walk of 5 mins with the metro. You can find everything you need nearby, lots of pubs, restaurants, metros and trams.

Erkel utca is a short walk away from the river Danube. Walking upriver you can get to the Bálna (the Whale) – an interesting work of architecture serving as conference-center, shopping mall and a popular meeting point of the locals. Enjoy a good meal at the terrace while treating yourself to the beautiful view of the Buda side. The famous Market Hall is a few minutes away on foot and why not continue along Vaci utca, the biggest shopping street of Budapest? If you are not keen on shopping you can always walk across Liberty Bridge to the Gellért Bath and get a treatment at the spa.

Transportation
Tram 4/6 runs non-stop and can take you to the most see worthy parts of Budapest. Or walk a few minutes to Boráros tér at the foot of Petőfi bridge and treat yourself to a scenic tramride along the Danube with tram no 2.
